My oldest son turned 5 today! We celebrated by having a special cake with all his buddies at Lion and Lamb Preschool. For some reason the pig, Vova, in the animated movie Space Dogs cracks him up :). About a month ago, we asked him what kind of cake he wanted and he said “I want the funny fat pig on Space Dogs”. My wife and I looked at him a bit perplexed and had to watch the movie over again with him. He and his little brother just started cracking up right when the pig makes his entrance into the movie. So, Vova the pig it had to be! My wife has made a few square cakes before, but never a theme cake with such detail. She tackled it head on and tremendously succeeded! The big boy was stoked to see the finished product and it tasted wonderful. Today has been a great day!
