Wedding at The Chalet View Lodge Portola, CA. Outdoor lovers Betsy and Dan are officially married! The two geologists are very passionate about their outdoor adventures and wanted to incorporate that close interconnection. They have a deep affinity for fly fishing, boating and spending time with their trusty Weimaraner “Wader”. (Check out their awesome fly fishing engagement session last fall on the Truckee River). Their clever decor incorporated the things that they hold dear like; hand tied flies as boutonnieres, bandanas as detail accents, geological maps as a seating chart, and instead of a sand ceremony or unity candle, a tree planting ceremony from a native tree from their East Cost home towns. All these little details added that extra personal touch to their day and truly made it unique. The Chalet View Lodge was a great private venue choice for all their family and friends to celebrate their big day with them. Congratulations Betsy and Dan!
