Traveling to new locations to photograph couples is always a good time. This last weekend I had a great engagement session with Melaney and James at Tilden Regional Park Berkeley California. Tilden Regional Park is nestled in the Contra Costa County mountains east bay area. Tilden has been called the jewel of the East Bay Regional Park System, and its recreational activities have become a happy tradition for generations of East Bay youngsters. The terrain is rugged and vertical and offers some great scenic views across the San Francisco Bay Area. I wish I had more time to capture all the beauty of the park with Melaney and James, but the park spans thousands of acres and there’s no way you could experience all of it’s beauty in just one day. I’m making it a point to visit the park again sometime. We took advantage of the calm beautiful waters at Lake Anza and took a stroll along the shore. Melaney and James enjoy the outdoors and this was a perfect setting for their session. They’ve been together for quite some time and are high school sweethearts as a matter of fact. We incorporated a little nostalgia from the past as Melaney donned James’ old San Joaquin Memorial High School football jersey and played a little catch. Here are just a few of the favorites from their session. Congratulations Melaney and James and I can’t wait for your beach wedding next year at Pajaro Dunes, CA.
