Slowing down the pace of life in today’s technological world is a pretty tough thing to accomplish. As of late, I’ve taken time to get back to what has made me love the magic of photography. My heirloom Mamiya M645 medium format film camera has not seen much action in the past 7 years since I’ve been shooting digital. As much time as I spend behind the computer, it’s a nice change to get back to the romance of film shooting. For those of you who do still shoot film or have shot film, I still get the excitement of getting my results back from the lab. I think of it as getting a gift when you get your film back. Slow it down, get back to basics, compose & shoot. I’ve been playing with FujiFilm 400 & 160 this past week and pan to do some comparisons between Kodak Portra 400 & 160. Here are some of my favorites from my last rolls.
